I Think I Have Bladder Problems?
Hey, upper east emailers, sister Tew here, and I have officially been a missionary for 4 days now. I could not be happier! Even though I've only done one day of mtc classes I just wanted to let y'all know how I'm doing and what I'm learning. Overall feeling so excited to learn more about our loving father in heaven and his son, Jesus Christ. However at the same time I am actually so scared cause let’s be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing. Luckily it's only day 4 out of 550 ish days, so I've still got some time to figure it out. My comp, sis. Richter, and district seem so awesome already and I can't wait to meet them all in person. Shout out 18-C!! Almost half of my district is going to Baton Rouge so hopefully I'll be seeing them around in the future as well.
You're probably wondering why the subject of this email is "I think I have bladder problems" Let me explain. It's day one of home-mtc and I woke up early, exercised, ate breakfast, then started my first class at 8:30. When I tell you not even 20 minutes later I needed to pee so freaking bad. Luckily at 9:30 we get a 10 minute break, so that was a life saver, but I swear I've been peeing every break I get, maybe I need to drink less water idk. Anyways that may be tmi, but it's nothing compared to my brother's emails, so calm down. Jessica thinks it's just the first day jitters so if you want an update let me know! Also I'm not really used to staring at a screen all day anymore, so the headache from the blue-light is insane. Catch me wearing blue light glasses for the rest of home-mtc.
some quotes from mtc day 1 that I loved
"you can't put a few crumbs on the altar of God without getting a whole loaf back"
"Humility isn't about thinking of yourself less, it is about thinking of Christ more."
"The savior called you because of who you can be not because of who you have been"
My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ! I'm going to invite you all to say a prayer if you haven't in a while, or try reading your scriptures more consistently, even if it's just one verse everyday. You don't need to race through your spiritual journey. Choose to walk with Christ instead. He will meet you where you are, but I know that God will multiply your efforts as you strive to walk closer with him.
Alma 37:6
" Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."
Here are 3 things I want everyone to know:
1. You have a Heavenly Father who loves you.
2. You have a Savior who died on the cross because of his love for you.
3. You have a sis. Tew here on earth who loves you and is praying for each of you.
Never forget how loved you are!!
xoxo,
Sister Tew ♡
