Missionaries Can Dab?!?!
Hey, upper east emailers, sister Tew here, and yesterday was my last day of home-mtc! Also for the record it is not against missionary standards to dab, let’s freaking go!!!!! Also I’ve said this before and I know everyone says this but I have truly been so blessed with the best district! Everyone's so full of God's love and a Christ-like light. I am learning so much from each of them and I cannot wait to meet them in person tomorrow!!!
On Thursday, sis Richter and I did our first practice lesson on the restoration! I felt the spirit testify to me so strongly that God truly does love all of his children, so much so that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to come to this earth and atone for our sins! Because of his loving sacrifice, we have the opportunity to be made clean from our sins and live with Heavenly Father and our families again!!! He truly died for you! I imagine that while he was suffering he pictured you, your face, your smile, your laugh, even your biggest insecurities, and that’s what kept him on the cross. He loves you despite your flaws. He loves you despite your mistakes or shortcomings. He loves you despite the things you do or don’t believe in. He loves you perfectly and infinitely! I truly feel it so deeply in my bones that this is Christ's restored church. I have never felt so joyful in my life, and I know this joy is coming from living the gospel of Christ.
John 15:13
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
I wanna share one more thought with you. On Sunday I got to sit in primary with my mom, shoutout Jessica, which was awesome because I love little kids. They are always so joyful and so fun to be around. While in primary they were singing the song "One Tiny Seed" by Angie Killian & Lauren Gruwell. The lyrics of the chorus stuck with me for the rest of the day.
"One tiny seed becomes a mighty tree
When one humble heart is willing to believe
You might never know
What miracles can grow
When you plant one tiny seed"
You truly never know what effect you can have on someone and their path towards eternal life. We plant little seeds by sharing our testimonies, scriptures, through prayer, but also by just being an example of who Christ is and how much love he has for each of us. I invite you all to ponder on and prayerfully decide what you can do to plant a seed of Christlike love in someone else's life. As the song says, "You might never know what miracles can grow, when you plant one tiny seed." I know that as we strive to treat others with more love we will bless their lives in ways we can't even imagine.
Never forget just how loved you are!!!
xoxo,
Sister Tew <3
